Greg Walthour
President/Chief Executive Officer
How does someone go from the finance world into the Internet world and make it work? Just ask Greg Walthour, a Georgia native and President/Chief Executive Officer of InternationalWebworks.com, LLC. Greg recognized early on that technology was going to be the key to success for Real Estate in the future. He saw potential in getting real estate leads online with clients going into their own online communities. It was the wave of future marketing. “The consumers are still there and it is growing exponentially,” according to Greg.
With the initial investment of $20,000 from a local real estate agent, “angel”, Billy Peetz, who believed in Greg and gave him a chance to advance to a higher level, Greg was able to embark upon a career he had a passion for. He realized early on how vital it was to surround yourself with smart people and find yourself very good mentors, people who believed in you and key investors that will take a chance with you. He continues to surround himself with his strong mentors like (Mayor) Dr. Betty Konarski who taught Greg to believe in himself, understand fundamental business practices, and “never let people take advantage of you!” that provided the confidence for Greg to follow his dream. Others he speaks fondly of is Steve Price, his boss at Benson-Price Commercial, Inc., that introduced him to technology and spent countless hours showing Greg the ropes of commercial real estate; and Barbara Johnson, Chief Operating Officer, International Webworks, Inc., who helped him in creating a successful business model, manage sales teams and understand how to expand the company without taking on too much risk.
In the world of online marketing and search engine positioning there is never a typical day. Greg’s days are always filled with unexpected challenges which he enjoys, leaving him at the end of the day hoping good opportunities have come from it. Greg’s conviction of believing in yourself, the willingness to face bumpy roads, and never quitting no matter how bad it looks, has allowed him to be where he is today – a very successful, optimistic, entrepreneur willing to take on the world of business by storm.
